Last Thread is a high-energy melodic punk rock band from Oakland CA. Formed by veteran members of the East Bay hardcore punk scene, Last Thread presents a sound that is firmly rooted in classic punk and hardcore styles, with an emphasis on lush harmonies and melodies.
Lyrically, the music is best described as a vessel to propel people to understand they’re not alone in the facets of everyday life and loss. We sing about grief, love, disappointment, ecological and social decay, injustice, and the banalities of modern American life.
Since first taking the stage in early 2024, last thread has played live with local bands such as Frightwig, Loud Graves, Cut-Rate Druggist, and Damage Party; and with touring bands like the koffin kats, the last gang, DFL, Crazy and the Brains, and Hans Gruber and the Die-hards.
